The Chancery is on Massachusetts Avenue constructed in 1917. Acting as the Owner Representative, LT worked with the Philippine Government to marry their procurement laws with local contracting procedures educating contractors on what to expect and to find compatible DC standards to match Manila’s expectations. Once under construction LT worked closely with the contractor to resolve unforeseen conditions and to update the design as Manila funded the completion of the second floor reception hall. LT’s revised designs opened up the space and enhanced the lighting through the innovative use of LED fixtures and elegant feature lights.
